Meet our management team
Greg Balla


Greg Balla
Greg was appointed CEO of AoFrio in May 2021. He brought extensive experience leading marketing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, process engineering, IT and HR teams across his multi-decade career.
Prior to AoFrio, he spent eight years working at Orion Health, where he started as Executive Vice President Clinical Workflow and Business Transformation and spent four years as Chief Operating Officer.
Greg, along with the whole AoFrio team, is wholly committed to growing AoFrio and delivering clear customer insights, sustainable transformative technologies and a connected advantage for customers around the world.
Howard Milliner


Howard Milliner
After more than ten years at AoFrio, Howard has been instrumental in driving the organisation’s strategy to become a hardware-enabled, SaaS company. He is also responsible for all financial and administrative operations across AoFrio, and brings a wealth of experience from previous roles.
Prior to joining AoFrio, Howard spent 14 years working as the CFO and then CEO of NZ-listed engineering business, Mercer Group (now MHW Automation).
Angela Lewis


Angela Lewis
Angela has led AoFrio’s people-focused initiatives since January 2022. Her focus is on developing a vibrant company culture with modern thinking and ways of working.
Angela started at AoFrio in January 2022, prior to this she was the Head of HR consulting at Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ) Ltd. She also has significant people leadership experience from her work with Amazon, Orion Health and Walt Disney.
David Burden


David Burden
As Chief Customer Officer David is responsible for ensuring AoFrio’s future is focused on unearthing powerful business outcomes to create a better world with customers.
David has more than 30 years’ experience leading start-ups and technology businesses. Notably, he founded and led what became Australia’s largest and best-recognised interactive and mobile services company, Legion Interactive. In 2013, David co-founded IoT company iProximity, with a focus on proximity marketing and digital information services, which was acquired by AoFrio in 2018.
Laura Bocock


Laura Bocock
Since joining in November 2021 as Transformation Lead, Laura has worked on re-inventing processes at AoFrio through leading her diverse portfolio of activities.
In addition to her role at AoFrio, Laura is a Business Consultant at Bocock Solutions. Prior to joining AoFrio, Laura was Planning and Intelligence Manager, COVID Response Unit at Auckland Regional Public Health Service.
Rami Elbeltagi


Rami Elbeltagi
Rami Elbeltagi joined AoFrio in October 2022 as executive Vice President of Engineering and IT. His role focuses on leading the engineering & IT teams to develop products and solutions to keep AoFrio delivering clear customer insights, sustainable transformative technologies and a connected advantage.
Passionate about creating great customer-focused solutions and collaborative product teams that drive business growth and value. With over 15 years’ experience in product development, Rami brings extensive experience leading cross-functional engineering teams (software, hardware, firmware and mechanical) to AoFrio.
Prior to AoFrio, Rami has developed strong leadership, product design and agile innovation experience in large organisations. Most recently as Group Chief Engineer at Fisher & Paykel Appliances. Rami holds a master’s degrees in business administration (MBA) and in mechatronics (ME) and is PMP certified.
Outside of work, Rami enjoys playing sport such as football, squash and swimming.
Marc Tinsel


Marc Tinsel
Marc started at AoFrio as a Programme Manager for sustaining engineering in 2013. As Executive Vice President Operations Marc is responsible for AoFrio’s day-to-day leadership, supply chain and operations, as well as delivery of all hardware, software, and development programs.
Prior to joining AoFrio Marc worked as a project manager for Electrix managing multiple projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
Danielle Scott


Danielle Scott
Danielle has been a part of the AoFrio team since April 2022. She joins the AoFrio Exec team with a focus on supporting the AoFrio team with executive programs and strategic initiatives. This includes the sustainability and ESG program for Aofrio.
Prior to starting at AoFrio Danielle most recently held roles with technology companies like Tesla and Workday managing multiple projects and implementing new strategic processes.
Genevieve Clark


Genevieve Clark
With more than 20 years’ experience in developing, implementing, and commercializing solutions in global complex environments, Genevieve brings with her a broad range of complementary commercial, product strategy and process improvement skills.
Genevieve is also a trust board member for Wāhine Connect, a not-for-profit mentoring service for women working in the health sector. Most recently held process improvement and product leadership roles with Te Toka Tumai (Auckland District Health Board) and Orion Health.

Cheryl Camargo


Cheryl Camargo
Cheryl Camargo joined AoFrio in September 2018 as Commercial Manager for Brazil, and in May 2021 promoted to the role of Sales and Customer Manager, South LATAM.
Based in Brazil, Cheryl is responsible for developing the South LATAM market. She has over 15 years’ experience across engineering, sales, business development and innovation gained across 30 countries. She is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Gerardo Gonzalez


Gerardo Gonzalez
Gerardo Gonzalez was hired in 2013 as VP/GM of Intelligent Control Solutions, with primary responsibility to create and deliver an IoT product and business solution that the beverage market would purchase in volume, and cement AoFrio as a leader in this new space.
He is a business-minded, strategic executive and has extensive process and global sales experience. With an MBA, BS in economics and decision analysis, he has broad market experience, particularly in the IoT, CPG and cold commercial equipment industries. He is delivering multimillion-dollar enterprise business account capture and growth in diverse regions around the globe.
Prior to AoFrio, Gerardo held multiple international sales (EMEA, NA) and global account strategy roles for global companies like Grupo Bimbo, Coca Cola ARCA and Elstat Electronics UK.
Jorge Civeira


Jorge Civeira
Jorge Civeira has been Sales and Customer Manager for Latin America since January 2020. Starting at AoFrio in April 2017, he has 12 years of experience in commercial refrigeration, working with leading carbonated drinks, beer, dairy, ice-cream, and meat brands throughout Latin America.
After working for several years in Central America and the Caribbean as Regional Commercial Manager for a refrigeration OEM, Jorge took over the leadership of the commercial area with teams in Mexico and Colombia in 2013.
He also had revenue and forecast responsibility for one of the biggest industrial conglomerates in south Mexico.
Ali Karahasanoglu


Ali Karahasanoglu
Based in the Istanbul office, Ali Karahasanoglu leads the sales activities of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. His key responsibilities include customer relationship management, business development, commercial, logistics and financial activities within the region.
In recent years he has helped spearhead the successful entry into the European market with display cases for commercial refrigeration and supermarkets, with the help of our new series of fan motor solutions. The aim is to continue progressing in this area, with a focus on the IoT segment and proximity marketing solutions.
He is one of the longest serving members of the team and has witnessed the journey from the early technology concept days to now leading our industry with commercial products and servicing the world’s biggest brands and manufacturers.
Adam McElroy


Adam McElroy
As the Head of Marketing, Adam is responsible for leading AoFrio’s brand and product marketing team. His responsibility stretches across PR, market awareness and sales conversion activities. He is supported by a team based across the key markets AoFrio operates within.
Prior to joining AoFrio Adam was most recently Head of Marketing at Samsung and before that held senior marketing positions at Microsoft, Spark, and Vodafone. Adam’s understanding of big brand tech marketing has played a key role in the launch of the AoFrio brand.
